Laundry/Housekeeping Assistant Vacancy

Shopper-Aide is seeking a laundry and housekeeping assistant to help us deliver our services to the over 60s in South Kintyre. The role will be based at our premises in Campbeltown.

Duties will include: washing, drying, ironing and folding laundry, ensuring jobs are completed as directed by laundry supervisor. Greeting customers, receiving laundry and taking payments from clients. Collecting and delivering laundry from/to clients and local businesses. Undertaking housekeeping visits to help clients with basic cleaning in their homes.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be highly self-motivated

• Have excellent people skills

• Hold a full UK Driving License

• Have strong attention to detail

• Be flexible with working hours and duties

The successful applicant will receive £10.50 per hour with a minimum 16 hours per week, although it is expected to be around 25-30hrs per week. The position is initially for 6 months, after which it will be reviewed but is expected to continue.
