New Electric Minibus
Shopper Aide is excited to announce the delivery of our new electric minibus with capacity for two wheelchair users, which will help us deliver our services more efficiently with less environmental impact.
The funding application to the Energy Savings Trust was done by Les Van Acker (our Laundry Manager) to enable Shopper-Aide to transport more clients rather than using several vehicles and making multiple runs.
Currently we are looking at funding to train more of our drivers in using it as many younger staff need to upgrade their current licences to enable them to drive it.
Paul Ives, Shopper-Aide Manager said “This is quite a cost to us and at the moment are seeking funding for it to allow us to use it to its full capacity.”
Meanwhile those clients using it are enjoying getting around.
